General Questions
What is a smile consultation?
A smile consultation gives you the opportunity to present your smile goals/aesthetics to our team of friendly practitioners. Our complimentary smile consultations allows us to explore a range of different treatment options to align with your overall aesthetics. A tailored plan will be created alongside an itemized quote.
What can I expect from a dental hygiene appointment?
A hygiene appointment is inclusive of a full mouth examination including your gums, thorough dental clean, oral cancer check, x-rays and fluoride treatment. A treatment plan based on the findings in this appointment will also be provided so we can ensure optimal oral health is achieved. Any ongoing issues or concerns regarding your oral health can also be discussed at this appointment.
Will a dental clean be painful?
A professional dental clean should not be painful however you may experience areas with slight sensitivity due to the removal of built up plaque and tartar.
How often should I clean my teeth professionally?
A professional teeth clean should be done every 6 months as a preventative measure. This ensures you are up to date with your oral health and minimizes excessive treatment.
When can my child visit the dentist?
We recommend bringing your child in as early as 2 years old to familiarize them with the dental space.
Teeth Whitening
What is teeth whitening?
Teeth whitening is a cosmetic procedure that allows your natural enamel to be whitened in order to give you a glowing smile. The whitening agent is paired with a LED light that accelerates the product and in turn brightens the overall appearance of your smile.
What is the process for teeth whitening?
Following your consultation, we will determine whether you are a candidate for teeth whitening. If yes, then we can proceed with the treatment. This involves placing a retractor in your mouth alongside gum barrier and the whitening gel, the light is then placed over your mouth allowing the gel to activate. Our in chair whitening consists of 3×20 minute sessions resulting in a 1 hour treatment.
Does teeth whitening hurt?
Teeth whitening should not be a painful experience however you may experience slight zings of sensitivity. We have complimentary desensitizing gel available for all our patients.
Can my crowns, bridges or veneers be whitened?
Crowns, bridges and veneers are not suitable for whitening as it is a composite material that already has its own colour. In saying this, stains that have developed overtime can be lifted from these materials.

Invisalign prices begin from just $3990 at The Dentl Studio. Prices will vary depending on the complexity of your case and how long treatment goes for.
Veneers
What are dental veneers?
A veneer is a layer of material placed over the front of your tooth to improve the appearance and shape of your smile. It also acts as a protective layer for your natural enamel.
Dental veneers can last up to 20 years when taken care of correctly.
What is the process for getting veneers?
A thorough consultation will initially be conducted to determine if veneers are the suitable treatment option for you. A 3d scan is taken and sent to our laboratories who then create a mock up for you to visualize and make any changes. Once you are happy the real veneers are made and placed by our dental practitioners.
Implants
What are implants?
Implants are metal posts/frames that are surgically positioned into the bone in your jaw. They are used to replace missing teeth and provide longevity long term.
What is the process of getting an implant?
The process of acquiring a implant is a lot more complex and can differentiate between each patient. Ideally a consultation will be conducted and an examination will be done to determine if there is enough space for an implant as well as assessing the current bone level for durability. X-Rays will need to be taken and all parts will need to be ordered before placing them in the jaw.
What are the costs of implants?
Every situation is different, a formalised quote will be given depending on the complexity of your case.
How long does an implant last?
When taken care of correctly, an implant can last a lifetime.
Payment
Do you accept all health funds?
Yes! We accept all private health funds here in clinic with just one swipe. Please ensure you bring either a physical or digital card to your appointment so we can claim on your behalf.
If you are unsure of your dental cover, please contact your private health fund directly as they have all your details on file which we are unable to access.
Do you bulk bill?
We bulk bill for children that are covered under the child dental benefit scheme.
